About this site

zclabs.org publishes plain-language articles about everyday health, aimed at readers who want to know what the evidence actually supports rather than what a product page claims.

What it is for

Most consumer health writing online exists to sell something, and it reads that way. The goal here is narrower and duller: take a topic, find the primary literature, report what it says including the inconvenient parts, and link everything so a reader can check the work.

Articles are written to be useful on their own. If the honest answer to a question is "the evidence is thin" or "nobody knows yet," that is what the article says.

How it is funded

This site is published by ZC Labs, a US company.

Nothing is sold on this site. It carries no advertising, no sponsored content, no affiliate links and no product recommendations. No brand or company has paid for, reviewed, or had any input into anything published here.

Articles do not promote, endorse, or recommend any commercial product, and readers should not read them as doing so.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, it should be fixed. Errors of fact are corrected on the page, and a correction is noted at the foot of the article rather than quietly edited away.

What this site is not

It is not a medical service and it does not provide medical advice. Nothing published here is individualised to any reader, and none of it is a substitute for a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. See the editorial standards page for the full statement.
